The Armidale and New England Show is on again on March 3rd and 4th, and if you act quickly, you can get your tickets for 20% off.
The Show is longest running community-organised event in Armidale, with the first Show being held in 1876. It’s held every year at the Armidale Showgrounds with the gates opening at 7am both days.
This year there are over 30 different activities and competitions planned, including the Young Woman Competition, traditional farm produce, wool, and livestock, arts and crafts, cookery and preserves. There’s riding events including showjumping, a virtual pet show, and the crowd favourite ute show and demolition derby.
There will not be a woodchopping event this year, but there will be a window display competition and a home brew competition.
And of course, there’s all the rides and fun of sideshow alley, with plenty of dagwood dogs and other food you don’t eat anywhere but the Show.
If you order your tickets online before midnight tomorrow, January 31, you can get 20% off your show tickets. Plus you don’t need to wait at the gate, and you’ll go into the draw to be the person who gets to start the fireworks.
