The legendary Can Assist charity golf day is back!
The Armidale Golf Club is hosting a charity golf day on Sunday the 12 of March. The event is being organised by Can Assist Armidale (Cancer Assistant Network) and all proceeds go towards helping cancer patients who live in the New England.
The format is a 4-person Ambrose, and play is expected to begin with a 9:30 am shotgun start, followed by lunch. There is a variety of raffle prizes available to be won on the day such as beauty packs and items that have been handmade by BackTrack youth works.
Can Assist Armidale was formed in 2000. The active membership base raises funds to provide timely and much-needed financial assistance to people in our local community who are undergoing cancer treatment. The branch works closely with the Hunter New England Health social workers and Aboriginal support workers.
Registrations are open now. The cost is $200 per team. All money that is raised from the event is used to help support the local Armidale community. Players who are interested in participating in the event are encouraged to contact the Armidale pro shop on 67726592 ASAP to book their team.
So, dust off your clubs and get practising with a few puts in the lounge room while you’re watching Millionaire Hot Seat. Call your friends, your work colleagues and your family and look forward to what promises to be an eventful day on the green, all for a good cause that supports locals in a time of need.
Those that don’t play are also encouraged to come along to meet the Can Assist team, enjoy lunch and drinks and participate in the raffle events.
