NERAM Culture club is holding their first big event for this year on Saturday afternoon, a family friendly sci-fi event “Galaxy Experimentia”.
NERAM Culture Club committee is made up of a small group of volunteers providing a safe creative space for the community. They hold two events annually, this year the first being this Saturday’s family friendly “Galaxy Experimenta”, and the second is an Adults Holloween evening in October. There are also open studio nights hosted by committee members in the Packsaddle Studio the 1st Wednesday of the month – March to November.
Membership of the NERAM Culture Club is only $35 per year and gets you 10% off workshops (this can be used on children’s classes) and the museum shop, in addition to the great events you can be part of.
Have you seen Experimenta Life Forms yet? The exhibition features a diversity of artforms including robotics, bio-art, screen-based works, installations, participatory and generative art and explores some big questions about our present and future… and it seems like the perfect inspiration for some sci-fi fun for all the kids (including the big kids).
So get ready to live your best sci-fi fantasy – we are talking dress ups (sci-fi, fantasy, steam punk, neon techno monsters… we don’t want to limit your imagination).
- 4.00pm – 5.00 pm we start the afternoon with some great Experimenta inspired activities for kids to share with their family members including a space creature scavenger hunt and new lifeforms craft activity.
- 5.00 pm – 7.00 pm The DJ will start playing and Pop-Up Bar opens, nibbles available.
At the end of the event we encourage you to wear your dress up creations out to dinner.
Tickets are $12, $10 for NERAM Culture Club members and kids under 16 are free. Book your tickets online at https://www.neram.com.au/event/galaxy-experimenta/
