Round 4 of the Australian Formula Powerboat Grand Prix will take place in Moree next month.
The Australian Formula Powerboat Grand Prix (AFPGP) is a not for profit organisation that brings together top class competitors from across the nation to compete in a 4 round series annually.
The event will run from 10am to 5pm on Saturday July 8 and Sunday July 9, 2023. The event will be visible to spectators from the grounds of Moree Water Ski Club, located on Evergeen Road in Moree. Spectators wearing enclosed shoes can access the pits.
There are five classes of professional power boats for the event. These include Formula Four, Formula 25/550cc, Formula 95MPH, and Formula GP. There is also a Formula Futures class for junior drivers.
The contest is set to be tight, with two drivers currently tied for first place in the junior division, and only 31 points separating first and second place in Formula 25/550.
Round 4 in Moree will conclude the series which has been held in Albury, Mulwala, and Taree throughout the year.
For those who are new to Formula Powerboat racing, AFBGP have compiled a video showing what to expect throughout the action-packed day.
