Armidale is ready to celebrate community, cooking and cattle as they roll out the red carpet for the annual Armidale Show.
Boasting a jam-packed two-day event, kicking off Friday 1st March and continuing the fun through until Saturday evening March 2nd, organiser’s say its not one to be missed.
“This year we have all of our favourites returning, but we do however have a new attraction with the comedy duck races,” said Katie Williams, member of the Armidale Show Executive Committee.
“This will be an absolute hoot with cute little ducks dressed in outfits running around the activities course, with shows on both days throughout the day and into the evening.”
“We have a whole range of areas within our Pavillion, with a heap of entries from our nursing homes and disability groups, we have our sideshow alley ready to impress and we have our livestock in our horses, hacks, our showjumpers and cattle section.”
“And we can’t forget our dachsund dash, we can’t wait to see the little pups come along.
The Armidale show is the town’s longest-running community-organised event ready to deliver something for everyone.
“We cater for everyone from tiny kids to the elderly, there is something for everyone and for every ability.”
