The diverse talents of producers and food and craft artisans across the New England has provided the perfect environment for a strong market culture to develop, grow and thrive. Each regional market has its own unique flavour, highlighting the seasonality of local produce and the character of the community. Marketgoers will experience a distinctly local atmosphere from each event, making a trip to any of these Markets an absolute must.
Glen Innes Cottage Markets run every Saturday from 7.30am – 12.30pm at the corner of East Avenue and Ferguson Street. Come down and browse the various stalls for good quality farm fresh veg, Jewellery, plants, crafts, honey, paintings, cakes, fresh juices and more.
Quirindi Country Markets are held in the Quirindi CBD, between George Street and Station Street, on the 1st Saturday of every month from 9.00am-2.00pm. Bringing all things handmade, homemade, and locally sourced together for a fun filled day of entertainment and market stalls.
Tingha Community Markets are a monthly community market that support local people and businesses. Held on the 1st Saturday of each month from 8.00am – 1.00pm. Organisers encourage you to buy local, support stallholders and small businesses.
Narrabri Rotary Markets are held on the 1st Saturday of each month (unless the first day of the month falls on a Sunday, then they are held the day before) between 8.00am – around 12.30pm. Narrabri Rotary Markets are a monthly artisan market set on the banks of the Narrabri Creek, Selina Street Narrabri.
Uralla’s High Country Markets are monthly markets held on the 1st Sunday of each month at Uralla Showground in King Street from 8.00am – 12.30pm. This is one of the largest regular market events in the New England, with 65+ stalls showcasing the talents of the New England High Country. Fresh produce, arts, crafts, collectables, vintage, clothing, food, cheese, honey, plants and more…
The Moree Markets are on the 1st Sunday of each month (except January) from 7.00am – 12.30pm in Jellicoe Park, operated by the 1st Moree Scout Group. Come down for a catch up in the park, with great food options, coffee and cake, or find a bargain or that special handmade gift.
Glen Innes Markets in the Highlands Indoor Markets held on the 2nd Saturday of each month, from 9.00am – 1.00pm. If you sell, grow, make, bake, sing, create or even fundraise, please contact the coordinator.
The Armidale Farmers’ Market operates on the 2nd Sunday of every month at Curtis Park from 9:00am – 1.00pm. The Armidale Farmers’ Market is an open-air market that offers fresh seasonal produce, meat, cheese, eggs, baked goods, coffee and other food products from growers and producers around the New England and Coffs Coast regions. “Our mission is to provide the community with an opportunity to meet and support local growers and producers in a welcoming environment.”
Tamworth Community Saturday Markets runs fortnightly on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Saturday of each month, from 8.00am – 12.00pm in Bicentennial Park. Tamworth Community Saturday Markets aim to provide a viable alternative for your weekly grocery shopping, as well as a place for community spirit to thrive and give local growers and artisans a place to share their skills!
Bundarra Markets are held in the grounds of the Bundarra Anglican Church on the 3rd Saturday of each month, from 8.00am – 1.00pm during summer, winter times 9.30am-1.30pm. The majority of stall holders are local Bundarra families so the organisers encourage everyone to pop by and show your support to their community.
Gunnedah Country Markets are held on the 3rd Saturday each month, at Wolseley Park between 8.30am – 12.30pm. Lots of gift ideas, hot food, fresh veggies, jumping castle for the kids and live music. “If you don’t find something interesting, I’ll eat your hat! (I won’t eat my hat, I like my hat…)”.
Tenterfield Farmers & Producers Markets are on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 8.00am – 12.00pm, at the Presbyterian Church Hall & Grounds on the Corner of Manners & Logan Streets. Pop in to grab some fresh local produce & maybe a coffee. Live music & children’s activities. Come along and support this community market.
Walcha Farmers’ Market is held on the 3rd Saturday of each month between 8.30am – 12.30pm at McHattan Park in the main street of the beautiful town of Walcha. The Walcha Farmers’ Market is a gourmet produce market direct from the growers and producers.
Tamworth’s Peel Street Markets are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month and runs between 8.00am – 1.00pm. From small beginnings these markets have grown considerably in size, now hosting over 60 stalls, providing an outlet for the Market Industries such as arts, crafts, hobbies and handmade gifts, fresh produce, sweets and preserves, fashion for all ages and pet treats.
Inverell Lions Club Sapphire City Markets run on the 3rd Sunday of each month, held in Campbell Park between 7.00am – 12.00pm. Come down and grab a coffee and have a wander through the many stalls! See the Inverell Lions Club Facebook Page for updates on market dates.
Bingara Lions Club Marketsare held on the last Sunday of each month from 8.30am – 12.30pm in Maitland Street. New stalls are joining regularly, so come on over to see what’s happening and grab something special.
Armidale Markets in the Mall are operated by PCYC Armidale and run on the last Sunday of each month, in the Beardy Street Mall between 8.00am – 1.00pm. A wide variety of stalls with fresh produce, handmade creations, great food choices, and live music.
Some market days only happen a couple of times a year, making them extra special.
Boggabri Market is an annual event by the Boggabri Business Chamber, this year being held on 24th March in Jubilee Oval on Hull Street. The event runs from 9.00am – 2.00pm, with market stalls, food stalls, kids’ activities, live music, and is held in conjunction with the annual Boggabri Show ‘n’ Shine.
Currabubula Boutique Markets are held twice a year at the Currabubula Recreation Ground. Over 170 stalls showcasing their amazing products! Markets are held on the first Sunday in May and December each year, this year falling on 5th May and 1st December.
