Tamworth is set to transform into a winter wonderland on Saturday, August 10, as the community gathers for “A Winter’s Night,” a free event promising an evening of enchantment and entertainment.
Taking place on Peel Street between Bourke and Brisbane Street, the event invites locals and visitors alike to embrace the magic of winter. Central to the festivities is the unveiling of a giant snow globe, where attendees can step inside and immerse themselves in swirling snowflakes and twinkling lights.
Natasha Little, Event Coordinator at Tamworth Regional Council, said the event promises to be an evening of fun and excitement for the whole family.
“This event is not just for the adults; there will be plenty of activities to keep the little ones entertained, including a balloon twister, craft sessions and face painting,” Little said.
For music enthusiasts, a silent disco will be a highlight, allowing participants to dance the night away with a mix of tunes through wireless headphones. Children will also have plenty to enjoy, with activities including balloon twisting, craft sessions, and face painting. And there will be plenty of hot food and beverages to help keep warm.
Stallholders and performers interested in participating are encouraged to apply by July 25, with no site fees for food or market stall traders, presenting a unique opportunity for local businesses to showcase their offerings.
The event is on from 5pm to 8pm on Saturday August 10. For more information and updates, visit www.tamworthregion.com.au/event/a-winters-night-on-peel-street.
