Want to go for a swim but struggle to in and out of the pool?
Now there is no excuse at the Boomi Artesian Baths, with their hoist back in action and ready to serve the community.
“We often have no mads who visit us over winter but can’t get in and out of the spa or big pool, but no they can with the hoist. It can work for either.” said Sydney Rutland, Lifeguard at Boomi Artesian Baths.
“It hasn’t been used for a few years, but we have it back and its great to see people using it.”
The hoist had its second life maiden voyage this winter, and it looks to be a permanent attraction moving forward.
“Our very first gentleman came in, and with hie weight he couldn’t get down the stairs. But that didn’t matte, and he was under the 200 kilo safe working limit, so we put him in, and he said it was great.”
“He said it was smooth, and not too fast.”
“It’s been really, really exciting.”
The hoist was made happen through fundraising and donations and provides opportunities many would not have to enjoy the local baths and brings a whole new meaning to life for Boomi.
“It is a fantastic piece of machinery. We can take people from up to 200 kilo safe workload, and it can get you in and out of the pool, so if that’s all that’s stopping you, come back to Boomi, and we can make sure that you get back in the water.”
So, what are you waiting for? Want to get back into the water? No more excuses, add Boomi as your next destination.
