Inverell Legacy is calling upon the local community to buy a badge this Legacy Week, starting Sunday 1st September until Saturday 7th September.
For over a century, Legacy has kept the promise to thousands of veterans’ families – helping provide financial and social support during times of hardship and grief.
The needs of our veterans’ families have drastically changed over the years, becoming more complex.
Legacy is adapting by providing more tailored support and the money kindly donated during this Legacy Week will go towards the ongoing care of our families.
“This year has seen our beneficiary numbers increase with the enrolment of more injured veterans’ families. According to the 2021 census there are at least 200 veterans in our club area that are not known to either Legacy or the local RSL Sub Branches. We encourage these veterans & their families to contact us.” said Club President, Rick Ellis.
Inverell Legacy currently looks after 105 veterans’ family members, including 19 children & Uni students. Services provided include education support, home visits, personal alarms, accommodation & financial assistance.
Legacy merchandise, including badges, pens & bears will be available during Legacy Week from the following locations;
