This Friday and Saturday the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Conference Centre (TRECC) on Greg Norman Dr will play host to a free two day lifestyle expo for over 60s, caregivers, and support people.
From 9am to 3pm on both days, the Living Your Later Life expo will feature experts delving into a diverse range of topics, including aged care services, travel, exercise, nutrition, health, and much more.
The doors open at 9 am on Friday. While the first event kicks off at 10 am with a session on Navigating Aged Care. This presentation will serve as a comprehensive guide to accessing and understanding aged care services.
Following the Navigating Aged Care presentation, another session will feature cybersecurity, highlighting common scams to watch out for, and provide essential tips for staying safe online.
Two very special guests will also be in attendance to share their wealth of knowledge, expertise and experiences.
Julie Goodwin became a household name after winning Australia’s first MasterChef TV Series. On Friday, from 12pm to 1pm, Julie will present a cooking demonstration featuring three simple, cost-effective dishes.
She will also share simple and practical tips to help cook these dishes from home. A book signing will follow.
On Saturday, from 12pm to 1pm, Steve Willis, an Australian personal trainer and television personality best known for his stint as a trainer on the Australian version of The Biggest Loser TV series, will share strategies for a holistic approach to fitness.
He will also showcase the best methods for strengthening the body through regular exercise and discuss how a balanced diet and self care practices can improve overall health and well being. Steve will be available for a book signing afterward as well.
