Australia’s largest celebration of country music and longest running Festival will return to the country music capital, in January 2025, with a huge line-up of artists and ticketed shows announced for the Toyota 53rd Tamworth Country Music Festival.
The Toyota 53rd Tamworth Country Music Festival will kick off on 17 January 2025 with the Opening Concert in Toyota Park – the Festival’s largest venue, which will see 10-epic nights of free entertainment including Americana In the Park, Toyota Best of the Buskers and the Toyota Star Maker Top 10 Grand Final, while Toyota FanZone will see hundreds of artists perform for free in the main Festival precinct.
Festival Manager Barry Harley OAM says last year’s Festival generated some of the best results for venues in Tamworth in 10 to 15 years.
“Having both emerging talent and iconic country music stars in the one place, offering a mix of free and ticketed shows, is what makes our Festival so unique and enjoyable.”
The Tamworth Regional Entertainment & Conference Centre (TRECC) features the ‘star of the show’, the Toyota 53rd Golden Guitar Awards, celebrating the recording excellence over the last 12 months of Australasian country music. The hosts for the Golden Guitar Awards in 2025 will be two of country’s hottest dynamos, Max Jackson and James Johnston. Their combined energy is sure to make magic on the night.
While the rest of the world is just discovering how cool country music is, seasoned fans have requested that two of their favourites return on the same day and the same time as in the last few years. Troy Cassar-Daley, recipient of the most Golden Guitar awards, and Lee Kernaghan OAM will return to TRECC on Thursday, 23 January. Australian icon John Williamson will be kicking off his 80th birthday year with a special performance on Friday 25January at TRECC.
Toyota Australia Chief Marketing Officer, Vin Naidoo said he was thrilled to hear of the fantastic line up for the 2025 festival, of which Toyota is the major sponsor for the 33rd year running.
“With such a huge range of talented artists, from rising stars to country music icons, it’s sure to be another incredible January at the 2025 Toyota Tamworth Country Music Festival. We look forward to another hugely successful year” Mr Naidoo said.
It’s not Devil Gate Drive, but Greg Norman Drive will be alive with the music of female rockstar Suzi Quatro making a return visit to Tamworth. Suzi is known as a singer-songwriter and bass player and she will deliver her two-hour Rocking On show.
