Looking for something to do this weekend? The Annual Bundarra Show is back at the Bundarra Showgrounds this Saturday and Sunday, the 28th and 29th of January.
The popular, family-friendly event will once again bring all the usual four-wheeled fun, as well as a raft of other activities to keep everyone happy.
The Bundarra Ute Show and Demolition Derby is also returning in conjunction with the Bundarra Show, with last year’s entrants to the ute show travelling from a huge variety of localities across NSW to show their vehicles.
There is a wide range of categories available for entry, and registrations for the show don’t close until 11 am on Saturday morning. So, if you haven’t got your ute shined and ready to go just yet, don’t worry there’s still plenty of time!
Even the little ones can get involved this year with a kid’s ride-on ute category included for the first time.
For those just wishing to enjoy a day out, entry to the showgrounds is via gold coin and the gates open at 8 am. Also planned for the day are some less high-octane activities including an animal nursery, rides, local produce, craft stalls, and kids’ activities. Live music will also feature from 5 pm on Saturday. Arena Sorting will occur on Sunday.
A new feature of this year’s event will be the Ironman Demolition Derby. This has been marketed as a tournament-style demolition derby and will be sure to provide plenty of entertainment. The first heat for four-cylinder vehicles begins at 12 pm on Saturday the 28th. The tournament will conclude at 5 pm with a “last car standing” finale to be followed by a six-cylinder derby at 6 pm, and a “Bash 4 Cash” exhibition event at 7 pm.
There will be a bar and canteen onsite, and camping is also available for those travelling further distances for the event.
For more information about how to enter the show, contact Peter Gregory on 0429 691 827 or visit the Bundarra Ute Show’s Facebook page.
